Known for accessible yet classic clothing with humor, the British brand Hackett London started selling second-hand clothing at the Portobello Road market in London in 1979. Owner Jeremy Hackett transformed second-hand pieces into classic and desirable items. On Saturday mornings, people lined up around the corner to get to the Hackett stall. In 1985, the brand began producing its own clothing that reflects the classic British gentleman style. With attention to the quality of materials, styling and cut, Hackett London redefined the English preppy style in the early 90s.
